ABS DIAGNOSTICS

If your ABS warning light has shown, it probably means that the ABS is no longer working properly, in addition to the danger that you are putting upon yourselves and anyone near your car, including pedestrians, it is easy for insurance company and accident inspectors to identify if the ABS and therefore the brakes were working properly should you be involved in an accident. The fact that the ASB or Traction Control light was on at the time of the accident or had been on previously is good grounds for your insurance to be invalidated.

ABS Light Staying On

If your ABS light does not go off within a few moment of driving you should get the car to a specialist as soon as possible to have the problem identified and rectified.

Like many of the problems on modern cars, many ABS problems can sometimes be down to simple problems such as vehicle batteries, charging systems that are not working properly, failed wiring, connectors and earths, broken brake light switches, blown brake light bulbs. However particularly on vehicles over 3 or 4 years old there are ECU’s, Pump Motors and Valve blocks that also cause problems.
